Veterinary technicians are trained paraprofessionals that work
under the direction of a veterinarian.  They provide nursing care, induce
and monitor anesthesia, perform imaging techniques, perform laboratory tests,
assist in surgery, and educate clients in proper care and nutrition of their
pet. The demand for trained veterinary technicians is expected to increase at
least 30% in the near future.

Course Outline


Comprehensive Course

Mountain Edge veterinary technician program provides students
with a strong and rewarding education in veterinary technology. 
As a student, you will learn the skills needed to become an integral
member of the veterinary medical team. 
You will experience classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory
procedures, as well as work with a large variety of large, small and exotic
animals. Mountain Edge will provide you with an extensive background working
with a variety of species in clinical situations. 
You will learn the skills necessary to provide critical care nursing,
radiographic imaging, anesthesia monitoring, and pharmaceutical
administering.  This is a 14 month course that will be two to three hours a
day, two days a week. Monthly payment plans may be arranged for this course. Please indicate
